A team from partnership housing developer Lovell tackled a giant obstacle course to raise £860 for a charity helping young people in King’s Lynn achieve their potential.

Their fundraising efforts will boost Voluntary Norfolk, which operates a talent match programme for 18- to 24-year-olds in King’s Lynn who have been unemployed or out of education for a year, assisting them to find jobs, training and work experience.

The money was collected by 10 members of Lovell staff who were sponsored to take on the Gung-Ho! event in Norwich, a 5k fun run incorporating giant inflatable obstacles.

Major housing projects which Lovell is working on in East Anglia include the recently-launched Orchard Place development in King’s Lynn. The scheme, taking place in partnership with West Norfolk council, will create 130 homes, including housing for sale and affordable properties.

Lovell regional managing director Simon Medler said: “As part of our commitment to making a positive impact throughout the communities where we work, we’re delighted to have been able to support the important work of Voluntary Norfolk, giving local young people the chance to improve their lives and fulfil their potential.”
