A former Norwich City star and a Paralympic athlete will help launch Christmas celebrations in south Norfolk at the Wymondham Christmas Fayre.

Norwich City legend Iwan Roberts and Paralympian Danny Nobbs along with Les King, Norfolk's 'King of Sport' and patron of Norwich Lads ABC will be at the Star Throwers shop on Thursday, December 6 from 6.30pm to support the cancer charity.

They will be at the Star Throwers Shop at 6.30pm to support Star Throwers Charity and then Les, Iwan and Danny will move on to the Green Dragon in Wymondham from 7.30pm

The evening begins at 6pm with a Christmas Carol lantern procession from Back Lane to the Market Cross.

Daniel Cox, who is coordinating the fayre, said 'The committee have been working hard to develop this year's fayre to make it a community celebration of Christmas. We are aiming to have a variety of family entertainment and fun activities happening throughout the town centre. We are really trying to get many of Wymondham's organisations participating to promote their activities to residents so please get in touch.'

The event will also include a Wymondham Food Hall, a traditional fayre as well as entertainment on the Market Place. Father Christmas will switch on the Christmas Lights at 6.30pm before moving to his grotto in Wharton's Court to receive requests from children of all ages.
