A colourful festival celebrating the array of different cultures there are in Norwich is to take place in August.
The Festival of Cultures, organised by Norwich and Central Norfolk Mind, will be at the Forum on Saturday, August 16.
The event is celebrating its 10th anniversary and will feature music, dance, food, crafts, workshops and more from around the world.
'The day is about bringing together different groups to talk about their cultures, about showing people the diversity there is in Norwich, and about people feeling proud of their communities and sharing their cultures,' said Amrita Kulkarni, community development manager at Norwich and Central Norfolk Mind.
'Come along and see how culturally rich Norwich is with all these different communities.'
Among the groups taking part in the day will be Ichigonokai (Japanese Society), Bulgarians in Norwich and Norfolk,
Norwich Congolese community, members of the Polish community, Society Alive (West Africa), the Neesa Project, New Routes, ZIMCAN (Zimbabwean Community Association Norwich). Other organisations include the Norwich CCG (Clinical Commissioning Group), Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust, Norfolk County Council, Norfolk Police, Hate Free Norfolk, Healthwatch, Day of the Girl Child and the Health Trainer service.
The Time to Change Village will also be there to raise awareness of mental health.
Norwich Mind's deputy CEO Sandra Flanagan said: 'The Festival of Cultures is a unique opportunity to celebrate and explore the diversity of Norfolk culture.
'It is an exciting event that demonstrates the vibrant communities that have chosen Norfolk as their home and how they have enhanced the county. The festival gives everyone the opportunity to be part of an international celebration with groups from all over the world, it promotes a cohesive society and understanding and is a fantastic fun day for all the family.'
