South Norfolk appeared to have escaped the wort of the overnight weather, as high winds battered the East Anglian coast.

While yesterday delivered strong winds and some rain, there were just a handful of incidents to report.

And this morning roads appeared to be running well, although there were some delays on the Norwich to London Liverpool Street train line.

National Rail said there had been some damage to overhead cables because of high winds.

It advised that passengers travelling between Norwich and London could use their tickets via Cambridge for connections to London Liverpool Street and London Kings Cross.

It added that passengers could use First Capital Connect services between Cambridge and London Kings Cross.
