Driving conditions in Diss remained tricky this morning, although there was no extra snow overnight to add to the laying snow, which is quickly turning to slush.

Traffic is moving freely along the town’s main roads, including Victoria Road, Roydon Road, Denmark Street and Mount Street, although some side roads remain difficult with snow and slush lying in places. The town was hit by a rain shower earlier this morning.

Nearly all schools in the south Norfolk area are open, although Forncett St Peter Primary School and Thetford Academy were due to open at 10am to allow for safe travel. Exams at the academy were not affected.
