A burning van filled the A47 Norwich southern bypass with smoke this afternoon.

The van is thought to have had an engine failure shortly before 2pm, near the turn-off for the B1108 Watton Road.

Two crews were sent from Earlham after being called at 1.53pm, but were stood down as the fire had been put out by the time they arrived.
