Two people had a narrow escape this afternoon when the Xenair plane in which they were travelling developed engine trouble and landed short of the runway at the privately-owned Langham Airfield, near Blakeney, coming to rest in a field.
Neither person was injured.
Firefighters from Wells and Holt attended, fearing a fuel leak, but their services were not needed.
Police were alerted to the incident by airfield staff just before 2.30pm.
Nearly 3,000 people have supported a Facebook campaign demanding safety improvements on the A47 near Dereham set up after the latest fatal crash.
