Passengers travelling between Norwich and Cambridge are facing delays today as a result of signalling problems on the rail line.

Bus replacement services are operating between Ely and Thetford following the fault.

The 11.52am Cambridge to Norwich service due at 1.13pm terminated at Ely at 12.06pm.

A spokesman for Greater Anglia said: “Owing to signalling problems between Cambridge and Norwich some lines are blocked.”

“Train services running through these stations are returning to normal but some services may still be cancelled or delayed at short notice. Normal services will be provided as soon as possible. Greater Anglia apologises to our customers for the delay to your journey.”

Services were beginning to get back to normal by 2pm.
