A sale of Sheringham’s former social club is expected to be confirmed in the New Year.
Agent Arnolds Keys has been marketing the complex with a guide price of £250,000 said there had been interest from developers, but it was under offer to a buyer wanting to use the existing buildings.
They would not name the potential buyer, but as reported earlier the New Wine Church, which currently meets at the town’s primary school has submitted plans to covert the site.
The club shut in September having been running since just after the second world war, blaming a lack of support, new licensing laws, the smoking ban and cheap alcohol.
Arnolds Keys also said a buyer had been found for the former carpets and caravans showroom on Weybourne Road, with completion also due in the New year, which showed confidence in the area.
