The search for a person who entered the sea fully dressed took place along the north Norfolk coast this afternoon.
At around 3.30pm today, Humber Coastguard tasked Sheringham Lifeboat with the search after a person was reported to have entered water near to the car park adjacent to Weybourne beach.
A coastguard rescue team and Norfolk police, who were also on scene, managed to talk with the person who was eventually encouraged to come ashore.
The lifeboat crew stood by and monitored the situation.
A spokesperson for Sheringham Lifeboat said: “In this case, all’s well that ends well.”
The helmsman for the boat rescue was David Hagan, and he was joined by crew Andy Trend, Kate Munro and Steve Banks.
The tractor drivers were Steve Roberts and Mark Herring, while Paul Pretty, Matt Blake and Kevin Mann assisted as shorehelpers.
