Listeners will have two chances to hear festive highlights of the annual EDP Festival of Carols held earlier this month in Norwich, and they will also be able to tune into an hour of squit and listen to the Norfolk panel game show Should The Team Think? which was recorded in Cromer in October.

David Clayton, editor of BBC Radio Norfolk, said: “The EDP Festival of Carols is a great occasion every year. It’s part of the Norwich and Norfolk Christmas calendar and to be able to record it and let an even bigger audience enjoy it is wonderful.

“Should The Team Think? is huge fun, a panel game show with a Norfolk twist, if you want a laugh at Christmas then there’s no better place.”

About 700 people celebrated the joy of Christmas at this year’s EDP Festival of Carols at St Andrew’s Hall.

The event saw musical director Carole Tims and her enthusiastic singers take to the stage along with the talented Broadland Youth Choir. Well known carols and lesser known festive songs all featured in the yuletide programme, which also included a number of lessons being read out. Music was provided by the Cawston Band and compere for the evening was Chris Bailey.

Meanwhile at the Cromer Pier Pavilon Theatre in October there were laughs galore during the Norfolk panel game show Should The Team Think? The show saw Norfolk personality and squit-meister supreme Keith Skipper, Cromer Pier’s Christmas Show favourite Olly Day, EDP editor Nigel Pickover and BBC Look East’s Carol Bundock all compete for chuckles as they took on challenges set by show chairman David Clayton during the night of Norfolk nonsense.

Both of the events were raising funds for the EDP We Care Appeal which aims to provide support to carers in Norfolk.

• Highlights of the EDP Festival of Carols will be broadcast on Radio Norfolk at 6pm on Christmas Eve and at midday on Christmas Day.

• Should the Team Think? will be broadcast at 1pm on Christmas Day.
