Police are appealing for help to trace the next of kin of two men who died in Lowestoft recently.

Despite initial enquiries, no next-of-kin has been found for John Lachlan Wood, who was found dead at his home in Spashett Road in the town on Tuesday, March 11.

In a separate case, enquiries have also failed to find the next-of-kin for Trevor Hughes, also known as Terry Hughes, who died at his home in Crown Street West on Friday, March 14.

Mr Wood, 54, was found at his home at about 9.25pm on March 11 after a friend became concerned for his welfare when they had not seen him.

Enquiries have revealed that he may have a sister, who may have connections to the Gloucester, Colchester or Great Yarmouth areas, but no details have been found for her to date.

Mr Hughes, 64, died after collapsing at his home at about 1.15pm on Friday. There are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances to his death but no details could be found for any relatives.

Anyone with information about the next-of-kin of either man is asked to contact coroners officer Steve Bignell on 01986 835167.
