A schoolboy was punched in the face when he walked through a market town centre.

The 13-year-old was walking between Nelson Place, near Iceland, in Dereham and Nunn’s Way, close to the Sticky Bun cafe, when he was attacked by another youth.

The assault happened at about 3.30pm last Tuesday.

Both the victim and offender were wearing school uniforms at the time, a Norfolk police spokesman said.

Anyone who witnessed the assault or has any relevant information, should contact PC Debbi Doggett at Dereham Police Station on 101. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
