A cat that has been at a rescue centre for 12 weeks needs someone to give her a chance, say the RSPCA.

Kristy, who is thought to be around six years old has been with the RSPCA East Norfolk for over 80 days and so far they have been unable to find her a home.

A spokesperson for the organisation said: “No-one has even ever been into her pen to meet her.”

The RSPCA said that Kristy seems to have had an unsettled past and does have some behavioural problems as a result of this.

“She is happy to see everyone who arrives at the cattery and is always the one rubbing against the bars desperate for company.

“She will rub around your legs purring and is always ready to play, however she will swipe or give a little bite every time you try to touch her.”

Kristy needs someone to give her a chance and will need an adult only home where an owner will be happy to give her the space she needs and not expect too much from her.

If you think you are the right person to give Kristy the home she needs then call the RSPCA rehoming line on 07867 972870.

There are many other cats that also need homes this week.

Megabyte, Cyber and Icon are all around eight years old. They came into the RSPCA’s care with five other cats who will also be in need of new homes. They could be adopted in pairs or on their own.

Leia is described as a confident and friendly cat who spends all day chirping. She is only around a year old and would settle well into a family home.

Hinge and Bracket are a pair of female kittens who were born outside. They have now been socialised and ready for their new home. They RSPCA say they love to play and like to be made a fuss of.

Kevin is a black and white cat who is only about one or two years old. The RSPCA say he would do best in an adult home and would prefer to be the only cat.

Jackson is a cat with FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) but is fit and well without any other health concerns. The RSPCA say he is looking for an indoor home or one where he could have access to an enclosed garden. He is described as liking company and as always happy to see everyone.

The RSPCA say that Jeffrey didn’t get along with his feline house-mates in his previous home so he is now looking for a home where he will be the only cat. He’s described as loving people so the RSPCA are hopeful he won’t be with them for long.

Kentish has been at the rescue centre for 9 weeks now and the RSPCA are hoping someone will call for him soon. He’s thought to have had a hard time and those currently caring for him say he deserves a happy ending. He has some kidney issues but this is managed well with a prescription diet.

All of the RSPCA’s cats, dogs and rabbits are vet checked, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and up to date with flea and worming treatments.

There is a small adoption fee of £55 for domestic cats and kittens, if the kitten is too young to be neutered a full cost neutering voucher is supplied.

If you would like more information or to see other animals available for adoption then please visit the RSPCA East Norfolk’s website at www.rspcaeastnorfolk.co.uk or call their rehoming line on 07867 972870.
