Royalty led the charge as hundreds of runners, walkers and families attended an annual event in north Norfolk.
The eighth archdeacon’s charge and family picnic is organised by the Diocese of Norwich in support of the East Anglian Air Ambulance and local churches.
It was created by the Venerable John Ashe, Archdeacon of Lynn, whose wife’s life was saved by the air ambulance following a serious car accident.
A spokesman for the event, which was held on Bank Holiday Monday, said: “This year was particularly special as the event took place in the beautiful grounds of Wolterton Hall, thanks to the generosity of owners, Peter Sheppard and Keith Day.
“Crowds were also delighted to welcome royal patrons, the Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, who arrived in a helicopter.”
There was also a large picnic village area, and EAAA’s Anglia One also made a special appearance.
