Lyn Hatch, 54, from Norwich, will travel through Aylsham, Holt, Sheringham, Cromer, Stalham and Ormesby on August 4.

She will lay wreaths at Aylsham, Cromer, Stalham and Ormesby churches.

Miss Hatch, a community fund-raiser for the legion in Norfolk, will be joined by Flt Lt James Pettit from RAF Marham for some of the ride.

She said: “It will be a tribute to the men who fought in the war. I’m looking forward to doing the ride.”

Miss Hatch added the response from community groups to commemorate the war was “absolutely fantastic”.

Her Norfolk grandfather Ambrose Hatch, who died in 1964, fought in the war with the Royal Field Artillery.

He was awarded the Distinguished Conduct Medal which was second best to the Victoria Cross.
