Thousands of pounds have been raised to help fund an Admiral Nurse for north Norfolk for the next two years, including £6,250 coming from the North Norfolk Rotary club.
Club spokesman John Sansby said: “Working in partnership with the rotary clubs of Holt and Fakenham, plus the Kelling Hospital Appeals Trust, the friends of Kelling Hospital, the CT Baker Group and JMS Contractors, we have now jointly raised £25,000, of which our club contribution is £6,250.
“The total cost of employing an Admiral Nurse for two years is £100,000 and the rest of the money is coming from Dementia UK (£50,000) and the North Norfolk Clinical Commissioning Group (£25,000).”
Club president Steve Wilson said: “Living with dementia can be an incredibly hard and lonely experience for both the person with dementia and their family and the club is pleased to be supporting Admiral Nurses as they try and make a difference.”
