Police closed off Bond Street and controlled traffic on Mount Street as fire officers investigated the incident at 4pm.

There were reports of people inside the Bond Street flat, near the Royal Mail sorting office, and officers at first could not raise anybody. But the incident was downgraded when the female occupant leant out of the window to reveal that there was a problem with a fuse on her oven.
