For 15-year-old Charlie Brooks the thrill and adrenaline he feels while racing his motorbike is a dream come true.

Last year the teenager from Reydon fulfilled this dream as he was crowned Youth 250cc British Grass Track Champion.

Continuing this success he won his first race adult earlier this year by beating the British Championship runner-up which saw Charlie receive coverage in Speedway Star magazine.

He has now been offered a place with the Kings Lynn Young Stars team which will see him ride in the National Speedway League in front of more than 70,000 people at speedway and grass track events.

The Beccles Sir John Leman High School student said: 'My ambition this season is to defend my British youth title and maybe win my first adult British championship at my first attempt.

'And ultimately win the youth world championship which is being held in the Czech Republic this year which I would love to compete in.'

For becoming Youth 250cc British Grass Track Champion he received £100 which, as he is aged under 16, Charlie donated to Sir John Leman High School due to the support the school has given him.

However, in order to achieve his long-term ambition of racing in the Premier and Elite leagues the teenager will need to prove himself in the National Speedway League.

And to do this he requires £20,000 in sponsorship to pay for a second bike, safety equipment and to cover the cost of transport to attend race meetings across the country.

Consequently the youngster is looking for help from businesses in Waveney to achieve his motor racing dream before the first race meeting in April.

He said: 'I think we can be a great advert for companies or potential sponsors, with logos on bikes, races suits and team wear.

'We get about all over the country with regular write-ups in the Speedway Star magazine - any help would be greatly appreciated, and it would be a dream come true for me to compete for the world title and join Kings Lynn Young Stars speedway team.'
