I want to complain about this content:

  • The gritters have been doing ok here but there are some service providers who should be ashamed of themselves. I walked past two GP surgeries today and neither had cleared their accesses and one had not even had any grit or salt thrown down-the road, pavement and path were packed snow and ice slick to a shine. I saw one old boy struggle to stay on his feet. And an absurdity-an inactive municipal cemetery ie no new burials, with the paths cleared of snow but the pavement where school children get off the bus inches deep in snow and slush. This presumably because one council employee cannot be deployed to an alternative more sensible task. And I agree about the lack of easily accessible road condition information.Unless one is able to find a good radio report it is almost impossible to find sensible information about depth of snow, snow falling rates etc for any particular road. Accidents yes, but not road conditions on a rolling updated basis.
