A high school teacher has completed the first of his 100km run challenges to raise funds for poorly children.
After completing the Action Challenge London to Brighton run last year, Reepham High School and College teacher Luke Greer decided to double the challenge this year by completing two 100km races.
He completed the first at the end of last month, covering the 62-mile distance in 13 hours and 47 minutes, a faster time than last year. He has so far raised about £5,000 for Great Ormond Street Hospital. “Despite the horrendous weather throughout the majority of the run I really enjoyed the experience again,” said the 34-year-old, who lives in King’s Lynn.
Mr Greer is now gearing up for his second 100km run, the Thames Pathway Challenge on September 13. To sponsor him, go to www.justgiving.com/Luke-greer.
