The flying aces, celebrating their 50th display season, will perform above the town at 11am on carnival day, Wednesday August 20.

Tony Shipp, chairman of the carnival, which is marking its 45th anniversary, said: 'We are delighted that the Red Arrows are appearing at the Carnival in their 50th display season.

'With a display time of 11am we hope that locals and visitors will come into town earlier, stay for the day and enjoy the evening parade'.

The Red Arrows who have been coming to Cromer since 1981 are traditionally one of the highlights of carnival day.

Other acts confirmed for carnival day in the arena include the Devil's Horsemen Cossack Riding and Bolddog Lings Freestyle Motocross Display Team.

Mr Shipp added: 'Once again we are putting together a programme of some of the country's top arena and aerial displays. On Carnival Day we see the return of Bolddog Lings Display Team, with even more death defying stunts. The Cossacks, who are regularly called upon to provide horse riding stunts in films will again be with us along with other supporting acts making it an exciting day out for all the family.'
