Rape suspect, 21, bailed after Lakenheath car park incident

A man who was arrested on suspicion of rape following an incident in Lakenheath has been released on police bail.

The incident occurred between 1am and 1.30am Sunday, August 3 in a car park on Mill Road, Lakenheath.

The 21-year-old man from Lakenheath was arrested on Monday, August 4 on suspicion of rape.

He has since been released on police bail and is due to return to the Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre on October 1.

Detectives are appealing for any witnesses to this incident to come forward.
