A list of railway bridges hit by vehicles the most in East Anglia has been released, and one of them is in Norfolk.
It will come to no surprise to Thetford residents the Station Lane bridge, on the Abbey Farm Estate, has made the list released by Network Rail.
Between 2011 and 2016, 59 vehicles collided with the bridge.
As a result, Network Rail had to make 38 claims for damages, racking up a bill of approximately £14,278.
Three bridges in Suffolk, Ipswich, Needham Market and Bacton, also made the list.
The majority of the strikes involved heavy goods vehicles, with 43pc of lorry drivers admitting to not measuring their vehicle before heading out.
While 52pc admitted to not taking low bridges into account when planning their routes.
Network Rail has said it is tackling the problem head-on by engaging with haulage and public transport companies and ensuring signs are up-to-date.
