Thorpe St Andrew fundraiser Phil Norman has completed the fourth long-distance run of his charity challenge to raise funds for deaf-blind charity Sense.

Mr Norman is attempting to complete 10 long-distance races within 12 months and has already run the Great Manchester Run, Bupa London 10,000 and British London 10K.

This weekend Mr Norman, 36, ran the BUPA Great Yorkshire Run in Sheffield and completed the race in approximately 47 minutes, finishing in 513th place out of over 6,000.

Mr Norman, who has already raised over £1,300 for Sense, was featured in the Evening News in July when he visited adults living in a Sense supported house in Toftwood, near Dereham.

He said: “I have a few injuries, however, having met up with some of the people that the money I am raising is helping has really helped me to keep going.

“It is now two weeks until the BUPA Great North Run, race five of my challenge, so I will be training hard before then.”
