Race track bonfire night raises thousands for charity
Snetterton motor racing circuit’s inaugural fireworks raised £7,000 for a Norfolk charity that supports children with terminal or life-threatening illnesses.
Money raised from the Bonfire Night went towards for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (Each) through ticket sales and on-track activities including a cycle ride and passenger laps in a variety of cars.
EACH volunteers also collected donations in buckets throughout the afternoon.
Snetterton Circuit manager Jamie Hopper said: “We were overwhelmed by the support for this event and are delighted to have raised £7,000 for this fantastic charity. It’s a fantastic result for the first running of this event.”
Live band Night Train played twice in Tyrells Restaurant and the event culminated in a fireworks display that lit up the circuit.
