The Queen is visiting RAF Marham today in her capacity as Honorary Air Commodore of the base.

Aides said the visit was a private engagement, but more details are expected to be released afterwards.

On previous visits to Marham, the Queen has met air and ground crews and heard about the part the base’s Tornado aircraft have played in recent deployments to Afghanistan.

Tonight, the Duke of Edinburgh is due to attend a Rotary Club dinner in King’s Lynn.
