Members of the public are being encouraged to become involved in a £3m redevelopment of historic community buildings in the heart of Wells.
The Wells Maltings Project, which involves a major renovation of The Maltings and Sackhouse buildings, has been ongoing for several years.
The Sackhouse, in Jicklings Yard, which is becoming a mixed-use community run building with office space, hot desking and conference facilities, is due to open next month,
The Maltings, on Staithe Street, is being improved as a community facility, with a major expansion of The Granary Theatre, a new heritage and learning centre, an exhibition space, a new Tourist Information Centre, a cafe and an improved reception.
Now Wells Maltings Trust is appealing for volunteers to help shape The Maltings development.
Working groups will be formed to discuss details around the development in six areas: arts, heritage, development, facilities management, fund-raising and tourist information.
Three open evenings have been arranged to provide more information.
Becky Jefcoate, Wells Maltings project development manager, said: 'Community involvement is a very important part of this project.
'The local community has always been very supportive of this project and now this is an exciting opportunity for people to become involved further in helping to shape various aspects of the development.'
The timescale of The Maltings development is dependant on the outcome of a bid for £1.84m from the Heritage Lottery Fund.
Wells Maltings Trust passed the first phase in its bid for the funding in September last year and is expecting to find out if it has been successful in the next phase later this year.
As part of the bid, Wells Maltings Trust needs to raise a further £1m by the end of the year and is applying for other grants and appealing to businesses for sponsorship.
Meanwhile, Wells Matlings Trust, which took over the running of the town's tourist information centre from North Norfolk District Council last year, is celebrating after its first apprentice to work there, Darci Boamah, 19, from Wells, was named the College of West Anglia's Apprentice of the Year.
* The first open evening will be February 28, with arts at 6.30pm and heritage at 7.30pm.
The second session is on March 28 with facilities management at 6.30pm and development at 7.30pm and the final session is on April 4 with fund-raising at 6.30pm and tourist information at 7.30pm.
