Police are appealing for witnesses following a burglary and attempted burglary in the same street in Corton.
The burglary happened between 11.30am and noon on Monday at an address in Corton Long Lane.
The property was entered from the rear and five rings and a purse were stolen.
The second incident happened on Thursday at about 10.40pm in Corton Long Lane.
A homeowner was sitting in his living room when he became aware that an external security light had come on and heard someone attempting to enter a rear door, which was securely locked.
Entry was not gained to the property and a man holding a torch and wearing a hat was seen to walk past a side window of the property.
Police are linking the two incidents and are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area on either day and noticed any suspicious activity.
Calls should be made to Det Con Denise Davey at Lowestoft CID on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Terrorism returned to the streets of London today as two suspected Muslim fanatics butchered a man in broad daylight in the name of “Allah”.
