Prince William and Kate Middleton will marry on Friday, April 29, at Westminster Abbey, it has been announced today.
Clarence House made the announcement a short time ago and it was also revealed that the wedding day will be a bank holiday.
The couple, both aged 28, met at St Andrews University in Scotland and got engaged while on holiday in Kenya in October.
The engagement was announced publically last week and there has been much speculation about the wedding date since then.
The Royal family and the Middletons will pay for the bulk of the wedding, but taxpayers will foot the bill for security.
Terrorism returned to the streets of London today as two suspected Muslim fanatics butchered a man in broad daylight in the name of “Allah”.

In other news, BBJ soon to admit to being a bit embarressed at 'reporting' this as 'news'. It's still not 1981. Not even here in Beccles.

By my reckoning, I make it that this will result in 4 day working week, followed by a 3 day working week, followed by a 4 day working week. Who would want to be running a business nowadays! I do think a little more thought could have gone into setting a date that would not have further exacerbated the situation where, because Easter is particularly late in 2011, of there being so many BankPublic holidays so close together.
