Power was cut to 783 homes in a Norfolk village after a tractor caused overhead cables to come down on Monday.
The 1,415 volt power lines fell onto the tractor in Low Common, Bunwell shortly after 1pm and the driver could not leave the cab until engineers from supplier UK Power Networks had switched off the power, due to the risk of electrocution.
However, there were no injuries and supplies were restored to 516 homes within seven minutes of the incident and a further 233 homes by 3.11pm. The final 34 homes had power restored shortly before 11pm.
Firefighters from Long Stratton, Attleborough and Carrow were called to the incident.
A spokesman for UK Power Networks said: 'Safety is of paramount importance to UK Power Networks and we always urge people to be vigilant when working, or taking part in any activities, around electrical equipment. Our advice is always to look out and look up and be aware of what is around you.'
