Through our fantastic Sports for Schools promotion we are helping to inspire a next generation of young athletes and encouraging children to lead happier and healthier lives.

And on Tuesday, we have an amazing 10 Sports for Schools vouchers to give away.

By collecting the vouchers you can help your local school secure thousands of pounds worth of sports equipment, so make sure you don't miss out.

In Cromer, like many communities, the Sports for Schools initiative is attracting a great deal of interest.

Andy Mills, who is the postmaster of Suffield Park Post Office in Cromer, and owner of the Spar grocery shop there, is supporting the neighbouring Suffield Park Infant and Nursery School through the scheme.

Mr Mills said: 'Sport teaches children how to work well as a team, it gets them out in the fresh air and you don't have to be at a certain level to enjoy playing sport. Some of the friends I've got in life are friends I made as a child playing sport.

'And the children, the teachers and the parents are all my customers, so it's like a reciprocal friendship.'

Mr Mills' shop, as well as many others across the county, has a Sports for Schools collection box.

Readers can collect tokens each day in this newspaper and Archant's sister publications, and put them in the box to give their school the chance to win a share of £20,000 towards new sports equipment.

Tracey Showers, teaching assistant, said Suffield Park's 200+ Reception and year 1, and 2 pupils enjoyed taking part in sports with the school's PE and sports leader Rachel Miles, as well as other teachers.

Mrs Showers said: 'We're lucky enough to have specialist teachers come in and teach us things like golf, Parkour and street dancing.'

Cash prizes of £5,000, £3,000 and £2,000 will go to the three schools which collect the most tokens, and any school which manages to collect more than 1,000 tokens will receive a sports pack worth more than £60. The tokens will be printed in every edition until April 14.

Pick up your Sports for Schools tokens every day in this newspaper. To learn more about the scheme and who is taking part, search our website for Sports for Schools.
