A popular riverside pub is reopening tomorrow after it unexpectedly closed just a few days before Christmas.
The Ferry Inn on Ferry Road, Horning, mysteriously shut its doors just before the festive holiday period.
Tom Boardman, general manager, would not give the reason behind the temporary closure but confirmed the business would reopen today.
Ferry Inn owner and landlord, Ian Chinn, was not available to comment.
The closure came soon after Chinn was fined and given two 18-week prison sentences, to run concurrently and suspended for a year for health and safety breaches.
He appeared at Norwich Magistrates' Court on December 15 last year where he admitted two counts of failing to ensure the health and safety of children using his play equipment at his pub on March 31 and April 1 last year.
The outdoor play area is now permanently closed and will be removed, according to Mr Boardman.
He said as soon as the problems appeared before summer last year, Chinn did everything he could to sort them out and the play area was approved by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents and North Norfolk District Council.
