Former Norwich City favourite Dion Dublin, and the indie band he manages, have released a song to support England in the World Cup, which kicks off in eight days.
‘Winner in You’ by the Nottingham based band The Establishment and Dublin, a foemr Norwich centre-back and striker, is a cover of the New Radicals song ‘You Get What You Give’ and is described as an England World Cup song for the fans by the fans.
The song, released yesterday and available to download, aims to get football fans in the mood for England’s first game against Italy on June, 14.
The video, introduced by Robbie Williams, features several celebrities along with everyday England fans singing along with the band’s vocals while wearing their shirts and showing their support.
Celebrities who make a cameo in the video include ex Norwich players Darren Huckerby and Danny Mills. Appearances are also made from the cast of Coronation Street, boxer Audley Harrison and Phil Tufnell and Matt Dawson from A Question of Sport.
Dublin has always stated that after football his big passion is music. In 2006 he invented the Dube, a type of percussion drum, which also features in the video.
The single is available to download on Itunes, Google Play and Amazon.
