An 'urgent' meeting has been called to discuss a controversial scheme for new homes in a north Norfolk village.
Knapton Parish Council will host the meeting over Victory Housing Trust's plans for 14 new homes on the Millennium Field in the middle of the village.
The trust had wanted to build 16 homes there, but has since revised down its plans, leaving some open space at the Hall Lane end of the site.
The field is a popular spot for walkers, and the site contains a number of trees planted in the memory of loved ones, as part of a project going back to 1999.
Norfolk county councillor Ed Maxfield and district councillor Nick Coppack are planning to be at the Tuesday, April 10 meeting, which starts at 7pm. Comments on the plans can be submitted to North Norfolk District Council by April 17, quoting planning reference number PF/17/1675. The full plans for the scheme can be viewed on the council's website.
