Archant Norfolk

Traffic was banned from a Norwich street this afternoon, as families took over the road to play with their children.

In Norfolk’s first playing-out event, Sandringham Road, off Earlham Road, was closed to cars from 3.30pm to 5pm.

Organisers hope to apply to Norwich City Council to close off streets again in the future so that children can play outside.

But what do you think about shutting streets off to cars? Leave your comments below.
