Stalham town councillors meet on Monday, December 10, when they will decide whether to backtrack on their decision to buy the old station yard site.
Four councillors - chairman Barry Mobbs, Elizabeth Jackson, Sheila Cullingham and Caroline Gelinas - have signed a request to rescind the resolution passed by the council in September.
The council agreed to buy the land and take out a five-year £250,000 loan through the Public Works Loan Board.
The decision prompted the resignation of town councillor Roy Woolsey who feared it would be too costly for residents.
Monday’s ordinary monthly meeting of the council will be held in Stalham Town Hall at 7.30pm and will include a 15-minute session for members of the public to air any concerns.
