If the S.C.C plans go ahead, St.Mary's Street will become what is known in road planning circles as a 'shared space'. The reality of this means that we will be 'sharing' our High Street with 200-300 HGVs a day and 4,5,00 - 5,500 cars, how well this will work is anyone's guess. Bungay deserves a proper bypass.
