I must say that I heartily enjoyed Mr Murphy's rant on Radio Norfolk tonight. You'd think that his council was something to be proud of and he even had time to trot out his well worn lines about his party's huge majority, including 3 councillors who crossed the floor (but lacked the spine to go back to their Districts and seek immediate re-election under a Tory flag.). Some 31,594 Norfolk residents can sleep easier in their beds tonight knowing that the Murphy's will not be directly in their lives for at least the next 4 years and the rest of the 859,400 should be concerned that, unless they speak up, the likes of Borrett, Jordan, Steward and Plant may pick up where Derrick left off....
