Perhaps you should appraise yourself of the facts. #1: Lara applied personally to be on the shortlist, she then had to pass an interview with Senior CLP members before being accepted. 2: Lara's campaign was purely self funded, a campaign that was successful in that she convinced the majority of CLP voting members (not the union) to select her as PPC.
