I want to complain about this content:

  • Lamb has lost all credibility. His letter in the EDP last week was disgraceful. He was once held up as an icon of virtuousness amongst a mire of self-interest and deceit in British politics. That was before the 2010 election. Now we see that not only has he sold his soul to the Tories, he is even using their misinformation-speak. In his letter he claimed that his coalition has protected funding for the NHS. Would this be the same NHS that has haemorrhaged almost 6,000 nursing and health visitor posts since the general election? The greater priority for his NHS seems to be funding highly paid 'management' positions off-payroll so the individuals concerned can avoid tax. In a similar example of the wrong priorities, while ambulance staff in Norfolk battle bravely to serve the public with ageing vehicles, some with in excess of 250,000 miles on the clock, the 'managers' within the ambulance trust ponder which brand new executive lease cars to choose, all paid for from the trust budget of course. So let's chuck money at council's to deal with fuel poverty because that's easier than tackling the route cause - foreign-owned energy companies run by fat cats from the legacy of the mass privatisation giveaways of the 1980's.
