I want to complain about this content:

  • The shambling of our city and towns is part of a wider and increasing problem we are only just experiencing in Norfolk-other towns have suffered for much longer. The people who had pride and decency and took a bit of time to look after their homes, even if rented, have passed on or moved away and are replaced by those who do not care or do not know they should. If tenants move in next to slovenly residents they may think it the norm for the area.If absentee landlords do not give a monkey's and tenant turn over is high then down goes the neighbour hood.A young friend would not believe that Prince of Wales Road used to be smart not very long ago, nor that Dereham Road and King Street in GY and many others were once respectable and cared for and not looking like the rough end of Curry Mile. This is the fault of councils who do not enforce the laws they could use and who do not take positive steps to keep our central residential urban areas from deteriorating into slums. Dustbins are a tiny part of that problem.
