The newly-formed Norwich Allotment Association is inviting existing and potential tenants to attend its next meeting.

The groups is holding its first annual general meeting and is opening it up to anyone who has an allotment in the city or anyone interested in allotments in general.

The association was set up to strengthen relations between tenants and Norwich City Council and give a voice to allotment groups currently without representation.

Its long-term plans include improving conditions on allotments, encouraging creation of associations, helping those who have difficulties with allotments, encouraging development of disused land and bringing together individual tenants to create a better allotment community through social events.

The meeting will take place on Monday, March 10 at the Friends Meeting House, Norwich, at 7pm.
