John Harvey has been elected as a parish councillor for Yaxham in a by-election triggered by at least 10 residents of the village near Dereham.
The seat became vacant following the resignation of John Hull.
Mr Harvey was elected with 146 votes, compared to the 66 votes his rival Peter Smith received in yesterday’s contest.
The turnout was 34pc, with 212 of the village’s 617 electors casting a ballot.
Terrorism returned to the streets of London today as two suspected Muslim fanatics butchered a man in broad daylight in the name of “Allah”.

This seems to be a non story. Can we know why the councillor resigned why the one who won did win. Who the runner up is and why is he the runner up. I smell a good story but I dont see one. Does anyone know?
