The former leader of the Conservative group at Norwich City Council has announced he will be trying to get back into City Hall at this summer’s elections.
Antony Little, who lost his Bowthorpe seat last September, is the Tory candidate for Eaton ward in May’s city council elections.
Father-of-three Mr Little, a teacher at Notre Dame High School in Norwich, said: “Labour-run Norwich City Council is continuing to crash from one disaster to another.
“In the last few weeks alone we have had Fountains collapsing and revelations that the council is sitting on millions of pounds in unpaid council tax. The council needs to be shaken up by a strong opposition.”
Eaton is currently held by the Liberal Democrats, with former Lib Dem group leader Judith Lubbock’s seat to be contested.
Norwich South Conservative Association has also announced that Mathew Morris will contest Lakenham for the third time, while Guy Owen will attempt to depose the Greens in Town Close.
Supporters of Scottish champions Celtic are in Norwich ahead of the Adam Drury testimonial game tonight.

It seems the Tories have targeted 3 seats held by the Lib Dems!!! I thought they were meant to be friends

With Lamb`s sacrificial Lib Dems in disarray, Little Anthony surely cannot fail to get elected ahead of his Coalition friends? When that happens, I just hope he doesn`t look any smugger. Not possible, hopefully?

Very welcome news, he worked so hard for Bowthorpe. It would be great to have him back on the Council. Best of luck Antony

As a reconstructed old fashioned Tory, Antony has not changed much since his UEA days. The false green promises by his ConDem leadership and the Norfolk waste burner should work for him.
