Elizabeth Truss has been re-adopted as the Conservative candidate for South West Norfolk for the 2015 general election.
A ballot was taken at a meeting of the South West Norfolk Conservative Association Executive Council meeting on Friday.
Kay Fisher, association chairman, said: “Elizabeth is an excellent constituency MP and since being elected in 2010 has worked extremely hard for local people.
“We have made significant progress in a number of areas– not least the dualling of the final section of the A11, railway infrastructure improvements, RAF Marham’s long term future secure and the rollout of enhanced broadband.”
Ms Truss said: “It has been a privilege to represent this constituency for the last three years and to work as part of the South West Norfolk team. I am delighted to be part of a government that has reduced the deficit by a third, cut crime, brought down immigration, promised an EU referendum and put in place a cap on welfare and housing benefit.”
