Dereham is ready to give hundreds of troops from the Light Dragoons a massive welcome home when they parade through the town at 11am.
Shops have put Union Jacks in their windows, barriers have been erected for the thousands of people expected to fill the Market Place, and a large welcome home banner is strung across the High Street.
The parade will see 350 troops based at the Robertson Barracks in Swanton Morley march through the town before they receive the freedom of the town and attend a service at the church.
Road closures and diversions have caused heavy congestion in the town centre, with the Market Place and the Cherry Tree car park both closed to traffic.
Dereham air cadets will be selling souvenir Dereham Times programmes for a suggested £1.50 donation to the Light Dragoons Colonel’s Appeal.
