Ruling Conservatives have been accused of cancelling a meeting to avoid further questions over plans for the growth of Greater Norwich.
Broadland District Council has informed members its next full council meeting, scheduled for Thursday, will not take place as there is 'insufficient business'.
The decision was taken after consultation between officials including Tory leader Andrew Proctor.
But opposition leader Nich Starling said his Liberal Democrat group were far from happy about the cancellation.
He said: 'We had some questions we wanted to ask about issues to cabinet members and these will now have to wait until September.
'But again, following a meeting where the Tories got hot under the collar over being questioned over their handling of the JCS (joint core strategy) and their defeat in the High Court, they've cancelled.'
