Approximately six weeks of works costing almost £40,000 will be carried out in a town lane this summer.
The southern side of Chapel Lane in Wymondham from Melton Road to the end of the pavement by house number 51 will be affected.
This is so Norfolk County Council can re-surface the pavement, which will cost £39,000.
Works are due to start on Monday, June 25.
The work will involve some kerb replacement and resurfacing the end of the pavement, which will be delivered under two-way traffic lights.
For a short period there will be three-way traffic lights at the roundabout with Melton Road.
Access to houses will be maintained while the works are being carried out, however a Norfolk County Council spokesman said it is possible that some disruption maybe experienced.
