A closure of Norwich bus station for roof repairs will go ahead this Sunday.

The public toilets, café and National Express sales and information desk at the station, off Surrey Street, have been shut since the middle of last month, after a leak was found.

Since then, the county council has scheduled a full closure to fix the roof a number of times, but rainy weather has repeatedly prevented the work.

However, a better forecast means council contractors will do the work on Sunday.

But that means the rest of the bus station, which has remained open so far, will have to be shut.

Special arrangements have been made for buses that would normally use the bus station on a Sunday, as follows:

First buses: X1 towards Peterborough will move to St Stephens Street stand A; X1 and X2 towards Lowestoft to St Stephens Street stand B and 13B towards Attleborough to St Stephens Street stand C

Konect: Affected services to St Stephens Street stand B

Simonds: 118 and 121 to St Stephens Street stand A

Megabus and National Express: Surrey Street

Norfolk Green: Affected services to Castle Meadow

Anglian: St Stephens

Sanders: 44 will use stand on St Stephens, while 55A and 55 will use North Walsham stand in St Stephens.
